I’d like to take a minute to urge you to up your account security if you haven’t already. I know everyone thinks their account is bullet proof up until the day it’s compromised. Why the push? Two of my siblings accounts were compromised, their gold drained and number of items taken. Both called me at different times asking me how this could have happened or if this could be a Blizzard glitch. Sadly no, it was not. Those who have ever had they accounts violated know the feeling, and those who haven’t, let me assure you, you don’t want to know the feeling. What steps can you take to ensure this doesn’t happen to you?

Attach an authenticator to your account. This gives your account another level of protection from unwanted logins. You can order the keychain authenticator from Blizzard (not available in retail stores sadly) from their site for $6.50 a piece. When I ordered two last night I also got free overnight shipping. Not sure if this will apply to everyone but the standard shipping should be free at least. If you have a smart phone, you can also download the Blizzard authentication app for free. I did this last night while the keychain is in the mail and it took all of 15 minutes to set up. If you do go the smart phone route, make sure you copy down the numbers they tell you too, they are important. Email them to yourself so you don’t lose them or forget where you put them.
