Wedged between the desolation of the Dreadlands to the north and the densely forested Sharval Wilds to the south, lies the Kingdom of Einsteig.  Isolated by thick, mountainous forests, Einsteig developed a cultural identity all its own, highly distinct from nearby Ivgorod and their barbaric neighbors to the north.

Centuries ago, Einsteig opened its gates to the crusading Rakkis and embraced the Zakarum faith, becoming an important outpost in the western lands, but the population still cling to many of their ancestral customs and rituals.
