Westmarch

Founded by Rakkis and named in honor of his great crusade, the Kingdom of Westmarch marks both the furthest westward of the Zakarum’s conquests and also the western extent of all the kingdoms of the west. It is also the name given to that nation’s capital city.

Although a foreign conqueror, Rakkis was admired by the peoples of the west and came to be loved and respected by them. He and his followers were responsible for building the infrastructure needed for the spreading of civilization in those then wild lands. Rakkis’ son, Korsikk, built upon his father’s legacy, and forged the Kingdom of Westmarch into a shining bastion of the empire.

Today, Westmarch is a thriving kingdom of commerce and maritime trade, with many major settlements, such as Bramwell and Duncraig and Kingsport in the south. A forward-looking culture, Westmarch remains one of the most powerful and industrious kingdoms in the whole of Sanctuary.
